Educational resources supplier Findel has launched a new end-to-end bespoke sensory room design service for schools and nurseries to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The service provides solutions designed for specifically for each of its customers’ outcomes. Findel will provide support throughout, from initial design to final installation.
Findel’s sensory room service focuses on designing spaces and including products to create inclusive spaces which support a range of SEND needs.
Examples of fully equipped sensory rooms which can be delivered by Findel’s new service include soft play rooms, de-escalation rooms and relaxation rooms. Each installation is completed within 10 weeks and is available to schools across the UK.
Along with the sensory room service, Findel provides an extensive range of SEND products and resources across the four key developmental areas: physical and sensory needs, communication and interaction, cognition and learning, and social, emotional and mental health.
The range has been developed with experts and SEND specialists. Products include toys and learning aids to support diverse learning styles and specific needs across the SEND spectrum.
The service is being delivered through Findel’s specialist brands, Hope and GLS. A dedicated SEND support hub is also available through EuHu, Findel’s digital content and curriculum platform, and provides expert advice and guidance.
Chris Mahady, Findel’s Chief Executive, said: “With government statistics highlighting that one in five pupils in England now require SEND support, we understand the challenges school and nurseries face to support all children.
“Through our new sensory rooms service, we can help create bespoke spaces that meet both children’s needs and school budgets, with expert guidance every step of the way.
“Our new service reflects our commitment to becoming a trusted partner to schools and nurseries, and foster environments that allow children to feel safe, understood and empowered.”
