{"id":6287,"date":"2014-06-13T11:00:01","date_gmt":"2014-06-13T11:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/?p=6287"},"modified":"2014-06-13T11:00:01","modified_gmt":"2014-06-13T11:00:01","slug":"teachers-in-london-join-new-programme-to-boost-ks3-music-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/teachers-in-london-join-new-programme-to-boost-ks3-music-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Teachers in London join new programme to boost KS3 music education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KS3 music teachers across the capital will be taking part in the first cohort of The UK Association for Music Education (Music Mark)\u2019s new CPD programme later today (13<sup>th<\/sup> June).<\/p>\n<p>Peer-to-Peer offers teachers the chance to learn how to improve their teaching from an expert panel of colleagues who\u2019ve demonstrated excellence in their schools.<\/p>\n<p>Music Mark\u2019s Teaching &amp; Learning Coordinator James Devaney said: \u201cTeachers will get to chance to talk to other music teachers and together, improve and empower their departments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Funded by the Mayor of London and the Department of Education, the free programme also\u00a0 includes mentoring, twilight networking sessions and access to an online network to share ideas and receive additional support.<\/p>\n<p>Music Mark\u2019s General Manager Jem Shuttleworth said: \u201cWe\u2019re very excited about Peer-to-Peer; it will offer an opportunity to connect practitioners across London to share their excellent practice and expertise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The second cohort of Peer-to-Peer begins on 26<sup>th<\/sup> September.\u00a0 Registration closes on 12<sup>th<\/sup> September so further details can be found at:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/exchange.datateam.co.uk\/owa\/redir.aspx?C=BmVSY1vrAkem5LB3Hjz1fkzsh0l9WtEIu1R7wAI6-POsM6lxrRMPEnLR-ZzvNtFARCjmY2vdH1Y.&amp;URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.musicmark.org.uk%2ftraining-events%2fpeer-to-peer-programme-2014-2015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> www.musicmark.org.uk\/training-events\/peer-to-peer-programme-2014-2015<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KS3 music teachers across the capital will be taking part in the first cohort of The UK Association for Music Education (Music Mark)\u2019s new CPD programme later today (13th June).
