In the list of the top 10 jobs teenagers want when\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0older, doctor continues to top the list, followed by engineer and teacher, with roles such as vet, police officer and lawyer also ranking highly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-18031 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Conservation-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"BBC Bitesize Offers Solution to Teens\u2019 AI Career Fears \" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Conservation-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Conservation-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Conservation-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Conservation.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Suggesting that while aspirations\u00a0remain\u00a0service-focused, many young people are unsure how emerging technologies like AI could support, rather than hinder, these careers. The NHS also came out top of the list of organisations young people would most like to work for, ahead of Google and Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Cerys Griffiths, Head of BBC Bitesize said: \u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0clear that young people are curious about AI, but they also have serious concerns about how it could affect their futures. Our research shows that many are unsure how this technology fits into the careers they aspire to, or how to use it to their own advantage as they step into the world of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBBC\u00a0Bitesize\u2019s\u00a0role is to cut through the hype and fear and give young people the confidence to understand how AI works, where it\u2019s already being used in real jobs, and how it can support their learning and career choices alongside core human skills.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In response, BBC Bitesize has expanded its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/groups\/cgk3rj0kl55t\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guide to AI,<\/a>\u00a0a free, digital-first learning resource designed to help 14-19-year-olds understand how AI works, how it is already being used in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/articles\/z94m9ty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">real jobs,<\/a>\u00a0and how to use it safely,\u00a0responsibly\u00a0and critically.\u00a0Focusing\u00a0on real-world examples across industries including health, fashion, gaming, sport and conservation,\u00a0the guide\u00a0helps\u00a0young people see how AI tools can complement core skills such as creativity,\u00a0problem-solving\u00a0and human judgement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-18033\" src=\"https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"BBC Bitesize Offers Solution to Teens\u2019 AI Career Fears \" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/education-today.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/BBC-Bitesize-Guide-to-AI-Wellbeing-essentials.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC Bitesize Careers website<\/a>\u00a0will also launch new AI-themed content during National Careers Week, including Job Detective, a video feature presented by Emma-Louise\u00a0Amanshia\u00a0exploring how AI is being used in real careers, starting with medicine.<\/p>\n<p>BBC Bitesize will also feature a special Bitesize Careers Talk with entrepreneur Sara Davies, exploring how she built her career, her perspective on AI\u2019s impact on jobs, and the advice she would give her 16-year-old self.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this\u00a0offering, BBC Bitesize is working with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencemuseum.org.uk\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science Museum<\/a>\u00a0on a live Guide to AI Careers event taking place on Tuesday 3rd\u00a0March, during National Careers Week.<\/p>\n<p>The hands-on event will bring 14-18-year-olds face-to-face with professionals already using AI in their jobs, giving young people the opportunity to try AI tools for themselves and ask questions about how technology is shaping different industries.<\/p>\n<p>The event will feature\u00a0a series of interactive demo spaces hosted by organisations already using AI in the workplace, including Microsoft, ASOS, Imperial College London and the University of St Andrews.<\/p>\n<p>Nick Eley, Head of Digital Creation at ASOS, added: \u201cAI is changing how we design and create, but it\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0replace the fundamentals.
